Folgers, granola and a chocolate covered strawberry.
-15 degrees, clear skies, light winds. Almost balmy.
Well, we didn't get the the -24 they predicted, but maybe tonight.
tomorrow we might break above zero, maybe.

Yeah, I moved on to other things last night (I went to bed), and missed one heck of a wreck at the end of the race.markiver54 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 11:41 amI don't watch NASCAR anymore either, however, I do usually tune into the beginning of the 500 to see the flyover and a few laps.
Then I will move on to other things.
Funny, Brad tried to pass his team mate for the lead on the last lap and wrecked them both.
They did a hit job interview on Kyle Larson that was cruel and unnecessary in my opinion.
Lots of publicity for Bubba and his new team, but strangely very little for Suarez and his new team.
Strange isn't it.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
19 heading to 25 with light snow falling. The storm is tracking further north than was expected so our 2” forecast has been changed to 3-5”. Not a big deal either way. It’s supposed to snow all day so I’ll wait until tomorrow to clean it up. Warmer temps coming later in the week.
Nothing planned for the day other than maybe running up the road a few miles to the UPS store to return a yard statue that didn’t hold up to the weather as it was supposed to. Not particularly exciting.

I ended up with 11.75” of snow on the level and up to 17” in drifts. Rain now and half that foot of snow is gone. Time to head to Mercury Coffee for a latte.

Congrats to RR and we wish him and the newly betrothed all the Good Lord's Blessings on the new couple. We started out @ 0* with a chill of -19* this AM. It has since warmed up to 5* and a chill of -15 * . Plenty of Folgers Black Silk in the pot. Two more packages of Lemon Creme cookies for the dogs and me. At least the sun is out and shining this morning. I was getting tired of the Clouds and snow.
Hope your day is better than yesterday.

Still cloudy, wet and cold here in the NC mountains. About 40 degrees. Plain old COLD is bad enough for those up north.

Just enjoy your rain and drizzle. At least it's not 17 below!

It was 9F at home but below zero at the range. I got a dozen or so rounds off at 100 yds but my trigger finger was starting to freeze. Will post a range report but cut my visit short.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Well, temp is -5° , wind chill -20° the only good thing about this weather is that it's supposed to start warming up today..
An additional 6 inches of snow forecast but I will take warmer Temps and endure the snow. Im not as used to the cold as ranch roper... I say he be a hearty soul! My cows and my sons are not keen on the cold either. Don't blame them. Coffee up and hope the tractor starts later this morning.

Mostly sunny today and -18 right now, a high of -3 and as always the proverbial wind chill advisory (-35). Everybody have a great day!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Minus fourteen with bright sun and no wind.
Folgers, Honey Bunches of Oats, and a chocolate covered strawberry. One more left.
A friend is going to the range today and wants company. Nope, nope, nope!
He sets up his ice fishing tent over the shooting bench complete with heater.
I would be sitting out in the open. Not!
I have two bucks, three does, and a flock of turkeys visiting my front yard eating the corn
I put out for the birds. Pictures later.

Whaaaaaat? Sounds like a day for shorts and a light jacket.
20 here heading to 30 with maybe a little light snow but nothing to get the shovel out for. Then a gradual warmup to maybe 40.
Making a Costco run this morning and since our area of the state is just now in Phase 2 for Covid shutdowns our restaurants can open for 25% capacity indoor dining. So we plan to stop for breakfast somewhere on the way to Costco. Been a while since we have been out to breakfast.

The deer do not want to share the food but one tom turkey isn't afraid of them.
They keep chasing him away and he keeps coming back.
