Its surprise night here. I cant get an answer after offering up many suggestions.
In that case either her Mother is coming for dinner or it's something you don't like.
Stop asking.
Her mother wouldnt be able to because shes not above ground and there aint much this old man dont like and if I dont like it the whiskey always makes it taste better anyway.
Don't let the old man in

My wifes green chili receipt uses Hatch Green chili in the large cans. Those chilis come whole. But if you just want to taste them before make a batch you can buy a small can of diced green chili at walmart. Make an omlette with some there good. Right BRM
Put chiles in a lot of things, omelets, scalloped potatoes, scrambled eggs, baked beans, tacos, enchiladas, etc.

Something I hadn't done in a while, salmon patties, mashed
potatoes, white beans.

Cross seared on both sides at 500 degrees and then cooked at 350. Potato was done at the same time. I’m getting better at having everything done at the same time.

The potato could have used some bacon bits and a side dish of green beans would have made this meal better. Yes that military knife sliced right though the steak.

Most of these recipes are very simple and very tasty. We have tried a few as we like potatoes and all came off without a hitch.

I’m green with envy at how green your lawn is this late in the season. That steak looks fantastic, seeing it is making my stomach grumble. Your place is absolutely beautiful, especially seeing the rifle on the rest nearby. :D

Last night we enjoyed some Chicken Parm with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese on top. Some cracked wheat French bread and a salad rounded out the meal.

You guys are killing me here. It all looks good.
We had my home made chili last night, (with beans and jalapenos).
It was pretty good but not photo worthy.

I usually shop at Safeway because they are only two miles away. Then when someone mentioned prime over choice I had to go elsewhere to fine that grade of meat. Haggens was my next choice at five miles away. They are both owned by the same parent company. Safeway is the bargain brand and Haggens is very upscale and expensive.

When I started shopping at Haggens I was not happy with how expensive everything was. Then I get home and eat the fresh meat, fruit and vegetables. What a difference! And I’m not talking just kind of different. The oranges were sweet and juicy, the tomatoes were fully ripened and full of flavor and seeds.

Those blueberries in my cereal were at their prime. I bet they were flown up from Mexico and not trucked. Yes Haggens is expensive.

I dont buy any meat Beef Im speaking of at the grocery stores. I buy it at the packing house. There burger is better than any I have ever had and that goes for there steaks also. Small packing house in Wiggins Colorado. You can buy th cuts you want and the burger you want without buying a 1/4 or a 1/2 of beef.

I like a lean cut without marbling. The prime was so much better than choice. I’m buying meat the butcher cuts and packages in front of you and not the prepackaged meats. Funny thing was the steaks were on sale but not old. That cut was the daily special. Apparently each day they order one cut in abundance and sell it cheap.

I bought these on the 10th.

Sorry, no pics, but tonite was spaghetti with clam sauce with a can of whole baby clams. Garlic bread and a bit of Merlot.
