Our Morning Coffee and Weather

18 F this morning and in the 30's today with a Sunday snow coming thru Monday. Had a great breakfest and a trail walk with Buster and that about it for outdoors again. Supposed to be 60 F come Friday though! On the East Coast you can get two seasons in a week!

40 and cloudy, the foothills of the cascades got snow but just rain here on the prairie.

20s here with sleet. Supposed to sleet till afternoon and then change to snow. They say a couple inches.
Hopefully that will blanket the ice. Snow is much easier to drive on than ice.
With February coming up we can now kiss the sub zero temps goodbye, usually anyway, and look foreword to warmer temps
with more wet snow.
I've been on a high protean diet for a month and am now off it. This morning I plan a bowl of cereal with milk and
sugar accompanied with Folgers and cookies.
I was at 192 the first of June, then had oral surgery and implants done. Then at Christmas the Candida came along,
so, I am at 170 this morning. Since I hate to throw anything away I have a whole wardrobe waiting for me if I lose
another 10 pounds.
For any of you who are perhaps contemplating implants, be aware that it takes months of adjustments to dial them
in to the point that you are once again normal. I think I am finally getting to that point. The problem is that once
the teeth are removed your jaw bones shrink and adjust causing the plates to be constantly adjusted to keep up.
BTW, if an implant comes loose they have a tiny ratchet wrench, that actually is a torque wrench, that they use
to screw them tight again. No, it doesn't hurt at all. Just kinda strange.

It was 33 when I got up today and it’s about 39 and cloudy now. We left early this morning to get a Coved vaccine for my wife. She’s over 65 and I’m just under so I have to wait a bit. The whole shot process went very smoothly and once we were in the process it only took less than 30 minutes. I say in the process because due to big problems the first day of the shots with traffic and confusion we arrived nearly an hour early. Sixth car in line. So far she has had no after affects so we’re happy about that.

Yesterday on my trip to Coeur d’alene ID I scored some primers, 500 CCI 0041 small rifle military and 500 BR-4 small rifle benchrest. And today I traded a guy a pound of Tite Group and some Berrys .358 plated bullets for a pound of Varget and some Sierra .223 69 gr matchking HP’s. I feel like a dog rolling in ......well you know what.

Well, gotta change topics so I can share my new rifle with everybody.

Tomorrow looks like low 30's and snow/rain. Black powder rifle at the range tomorrow. Just made a nice antler end for for my range rod today. Hopefully with the crappy weather tomorrow I'll have the range to myself. Take a thermos of hot tea and send some lead balls through the target boards.

A warm 42 and cloudy this morning, the pups alerted at 4:20 this morning to a ruckus. Went out back with a maglite to see the tail end of a deer hopping the fence. Turned the coffee pot on and sitting in the dark.

A snowy Sunday morning I awoke to! About 2-2.5 inches now at around 9:30 and slowly changing to sleet and later cold rain.

28, thin overcast light north wind.
Just got back from church, roads a bit slippery from drizzle and dusting of snow overnight.
Carol is making my favorite, a garbage omelet. Three eggs, cheese, onions, peppers, asparagus, toast and jelly.
Got my old snowmobile out of storage and running. Hasn't been out in five years. Prices are up this
year and I'm thinking of selling it. Man, that thing is still a beast!

33, cloudy, raining, January

Planning on putting together some loads for .223 for both a bolt gun and a Mini 14. I’m going to try some 69 grain bullets instead of the 77 grain I already used.

Then this afternoon my wife and I plan to enjoy some shows on TV. She subscribes to the Curiosity Stream channel and we watch some pretty interesting shows and some that lead to a wonderful Sunday afternoon nap.

Woodinville received just over 11.5” of rain in January and it’s still raining. This gauge holds five inches and I’ve dumped it twice.

46 this morning on its way to 62 later today ... cloudless sky .... regular breakfast of eggs, sausage, sliced tomato and Folgers .... a couple of hours from heading to our next campground .... watching "Last Of The Comanches" made in 1952 staring Broderick Crawford and Barbara Hale .... its a western that follows much the same script as the 1943 WWII movie "Sahara" staring Humphrey Bogart

35 heading to 39 or so. As the sun starts to crest the horizon I’m seeing bits and pieces of pink clouds so maybe some sun breaks today.

Sympathies to those of you in the areas getting the nasty storms yesterday and today.

Planning on completing some reloading today and after that, who knows. Might have to get out for a walk if it stays dry.

Update:

Sun finally made it up over the distant hills and this view out my front door is encouraging.
