This morning stop at LGS....
Had some errands to do so stopped by my LGS. They had a really good stock of 9mm, SW 40, 45 ACP and 357 Sig and some 22 LR ammo.
I picked up a box of 50 Federal SW 40 for 24.95 for my Glock 23 and a 325 round box of Federal AutoMatch.
The powder shelf only had a couple 1lb. containers of a rifle powder and that was it and of course no primers. I looked at the Hornady bullet selection and got the one box left of those .45 FTX 200 gr. bullets I like.
So things are looking up for ammo when it comes in and from the large amount they had maybe things starting to catch up a bit. Hopefully by summer primers might show up again.

Re: This morning stop at LGS....
My LGS posted a note that they are closed due to lack of inventory including powder, primers, and ammo.
Re: This morning stop at LGS....
Thats a reasonable price for for some 40 ammo. Did he have a limit on it.

At my local shop they had 1 box limit per day on 9mm and I think 2 box on the rest.

Re: This morning stop at LGS....
A neighbor bought a new duty gun. He could buy any duty style pistol in 9mm or 40 and chose a Smith in 9mm... Because he liked the caliber.
He has a lot more 40 on hand, but the LGS sold him two white boxes of winchester practice ball and a box of Gold Dot duty ammo with the gun... SOLD.
When I bought my last EDC the gave me 100 rounds... But...

My plan is to clean out the rest of the large pistol primers and Unique powder at the hardware store this week.

ifn' the opportunity arose and both were of a reasonable price I'd grab a little more.

Re: This morning stop at LGS....
No primers and no powder around here today.
Re: This morning stop at LGS....
No online primer drops in about a week on the Reloading discord. But this morning Brownells had LRP, LPP, and SRP. Gone lickety split, of course. Pretty hard to find any primers locally.

Re: This morning stop at LGS....
Yeah, it's as bad as I've ever seen it. We stopped at our LGS to sell some guns. Walked in the door and my jaw dropped. The number of guns on display was about 20% of what it was last January. Entire racks and display cases with no guns at all. No ammo for sale. The owner told us that in all his years in the gun business, this is the worst he's seen. He was happy to buy the guns from us. Gave us good prices, too. If you plan to sell off some guns, now is the time to do it.

What's the address of your hardware store again?? I might have to run up there and beat ya to it!!!RanchRoper wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:19 pmMy plan is to clean out the rest of the large pistol primers and Unique powder at the hardware store this week.
