Taking a slow start to the morning today. The yard work yesterday was a pain. Finishing up today and getting ready for a day of golf tomorrow. Enjoy, everyone. Don't forget to join the new contest posted in the 'news' forum!

Good morning all from Jonesboro, GA. Our area was blessed and we received some much needed rain. 76 degrees this morning, factor in the humidity and we have a real feel temp of 85 degrees. For the first time in a while, temps are not expected to reach 90 degrees today. Hurray!!!! Coffee has a great taste this morning, really satisfying. Take care and be safe.
Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
I'll be spending my day in Newport Beach where it'll only reach a high of 77 degrees! Very comfortable, looking forward to it. Have a good one...

Morning all from Jonesboro, GA. 76 degrees with a 60 per cent chance of rain today. Our area again received some much needed rain last night. My brown yard is now almost completely green. Very thankful for the rain. Today is range day. I don't have an outside range near me, so I shoot inside. Not as much fun, but hey, you take what you can get. Have fun, take care and be safe.
Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Good morning. Should be clear and in the high 70s today. Certainly nothing to complain about over here.
JWC, is there any public open land somewhere nearby that you can shoot outdoors? I always assumed Georgia had a lot of wide open spaces.

Good morning, cloudy and a bit cooler today but the heat and humidity is to return by Thursday. It's summer, but a hotter one than usual around here. It really has not affected the crops to any great extent because we have had some rain and thundershowers off and on. So today, I went down to the farm and bought two dozen ears of bi-color corn. We will cut it off the cob and freeze it. It has been delicious this year.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
I see you took your tractor and wagon to help harvest that load of corn. Nice set up Dutch.
Great photography theme input. I have lots of sweet corn in the chest freezer from a while ago. Tastes just picked still.
Coffee then off to work. I'm going in a bit early to work on a special project.
I'm going to look into restoring my stainless steel grill and bringing it to camp instead of throwing it out. Only two out of four burners work. I'm going to see how much replacement parts are. I'm inspired by a friend at work who restores his Fiesta grill every ten years. He bought it in 1996. He figures he's gotten his money out of it a few times over.
Thunderstorms ripped through a while ago. There are supposed to be more.

John Deere equipment is always most reliable whenever it's time to harvest.

Good morning all from Jonesboro, GA. First let me say, great picture Daytime Dave! Thanks for sharing. Here, it is 75 degrees, and HUMID. We had a good right last night, thankfully. Forecast is for more rain today and tomorrow, whoohoo! Of course, rain will mean more yard work, but it was dry for so long, I don't mind cutting the grass and trimming. Every take care and be safe.

Got a little rain last night, enough to rinse dust off cars and that's about it. Now SUPER humid and was 77 at 7:00 AM !! 90 forecast and MAYBE a t-storm this afternoon. I have not mowed in 3 weeks, weeds need cut, but was waiting for a little rain to cut down the dust.

Good morning all from Jonesboro, GA. More rain last night, and rain in the forecast today. After that long dry spell we had, it is good to wake up and see the ground wet. 74 degrees this morning, just another hazy, hot and humid day here in the 'boro. But all things considered, today will be a good day. Take care and be safe.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Seems like heat, and some of it exceptional, has been the word for a lot of us this summer. Supposed to be in the low to mid 90's here for a few days with some relief by Monday. It is the humidity that is bad. I just filled the bird bath with fresh cool water, but it seems like in this weather, that even the birds stay in the shelter of their roosts in the trees. Sometimes after I fill it they show up right afterwards, but not today.

Good Morning all from Jonesboro, GA. A humid 76 degrees to start off the day. No rain last night, but a 40% chance of rain today. I sound like a broken record, but from late July to the first of September, most days in my area are "hazy, hot and humid"!!! Take care and be safe.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Muggy this morning and foggy but it may burn off. Chance of rain every day for the next couple of days. Had plans to go to Beaver Springs drag strip for "Flashback Friday" drags tonight and stay over for Saturdays drags but may have to rethink going there until I look a little more at the forecast. I have a friend close to that area I can call for their fore cast for the next few days.
Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
A long time coming...it is raining this morning in KCMO!!
A long time coming...temps are cooling to upper 70s to mid 80s!
A long time coming...high heat indexes are reduced, and extreme heat advisory is over!
A long time coming...Ah, some relief!
Planned a day at the range today...not.
Planning now to take out my Henry Carbine and PUMP shotgun tomorrow.
Haven't shot the Henry since June 28th...the PUMP since July 7th.
Sure has been a hot summer so far this year.
