A Sunday ride

Post by bandit1250 » Tue Aug 09, 2016 10:54 am

My wife and I decided to not sit home Sunday and went for a ride. We went to Huntington Co. and stopped by Raystown Lake while there. We went to the boat launch at Aitch to see how many boats were going in and out. It was very busy and there was some really nice boats there. This is a no wake area. We walked around a while and she said she had her bathing suit with her and asked if we had time for her to go in the water. I told her we did and the smile on her face looked like I had just handed her a handful of money to go shopping. :D She swam a ways out and back a few times and really enjoyed the water. She said the shale on the bottom was sharp and hurt her feet when getting in and out. After she was done we rode around the country roads a while. Here is a few pictures of the area.
A few boats waiting to get out and loaded.

Went from a all blue sky to clouds pretty quick. It was still nice and no rain moved in.

A couple times swimming out and back and she was about done.

Looks like it was a nice day. Those last two shots are some nice views. I bet they will look even more beautiful in a few months when the leaves start turning.
