Hello I'm james
My name is James priest, and I'm from Mi. I recently picked up a Henry 3030, and wow. The quality and wood on this gun are so nice, it makes me feel lucky ( even though it came out of the box like that so there all like that
) I'm all around outdoors kinda guy i camp and hike, which I do unarmed in all country no matter what lives there. I've been dabbling in bush craft more lately, hunting is a next step once I'm more accurate. It's been nice learning about my Henry, and I enjoy the shot process more then I expected to. I'm looking forward to learning more about my gun, shooting, and Henry's in general so I came here.

Welcome to the forum James. I think you will like the 30-30 it is a good round with factory ammo and if you ever decide to pick up reloading it can become a great round.

My Carbine is accurate, and looks awesome with the Skinner sights, which allow old eyes to shoot well without the aide of the added weight of scopes.
Some time in the woodshop gave my Henry a custom Cherry Case....

This is a nice read... I posted it a few years ago. It's what we call a build along thread on the woodworking forums. For those of you new here, you might find it interesting.
