84° headed towards 94°. I don't think anyone knows where these two storms are headed. I'll just say we're preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

Coffee and Orio's with thunderstorms looming. Supposed to get really hot today. High 90s.
I have an appointment with the oral surgeon after lunch. It's been two months and today he will
expose the implants and attach the little studs that anchor the plates.
Sounds like fun. NOT!

64° on the mountain, and partly sunny. Looks like a nice day. 1st cup of Joe is down, and it's my turn to cook. Dogs in my lap sleeping, so maybe I'll get out of that duty. Not! Anyway stay safe. Cheers

Coffee and Orio's. Heat advisory again today.
Carpenter work on deck this morning and probably a nap this afternoon due to the heat. :D
Got the little studs attached to my implants yesterday. Now on to the Dentist who will
attach the plates to them.
So the Surgeon asks the Nurse for a number four punch.
A PUNCH! Like a leather punch?
Like with a little hammer?
He says I won't feel a thing. I didn't either.
Then this joker says, "OOPS!"

81° headed for a high of 96°. Going to get out and clean the gutters ahead of Laura. That witch with a "b" looks like it's going to come mighty close if not a direct hit on the Houston area. Most everything else is already done. Doing laundry, cooking meals for a couple of days, etc ahead of the storm.

Partly cloudy and 70 with a high of 91 today, first day of school today and grand kids stopped by to show off their outfits and back packs, made my day. Everyone have a great day!

A balmy 98 now, heat index 111, rain on the way for the rest of the week. Squirrel season opens Sat am. Looks like a washout.

Well, still on the clean side of the storm so far. I hope this track stays the same. A little more to the west could spell "Trouble" with a capital "T" and that rhymes with "P" but doesn't stand for"pool" (unless that means pooling water).
Sorry for the Music Man reference.

Just got out of the shower this morning around 5:30 and the power went out. Could see lots of lightening to the south where I work but there was no wind or rain at my house. Driving through town there was limbs and debris everywhere. Seems some straight line winds about a mile wide quickly blew though town and the lake area east and took out a bunch of stuff. I was one of the lucky ones and my power was only out for 5 hours. Some are still without and crews are trying to clean trees up. You never know.

Got up at my usual "dog" time of 6:30 or so. It's 85° with a high of only 91° today. Had a bit of rain from Laura around 5 this morning. It's quiet now. The track is more toward the Sabine so we should be doing just fine. I feel sorry for those folks. I also feel sorry for all those people buying generators at my local Home Depot yesterday. I guess they can take them back, don't know. Maybe just keep them for another hurricane warning.

65° on the mountain with normal thunderstorms later. Normal for this time of the year. Hurricane Laura will eventually get here with heavy rain and winds. I pray for all the folks who are in the way of Laura.
1st cup of mud is down, and I'm heading to the Galley to prepare chow. Stay safe. Cheers

Back in the heat today and Friday. 75 this morning on the way to 95F. Remnants of Hurricane Laura supposed to come thru Saturday.
Going to dump the gutters today since pine tags and some leaves falling.
