a few minutes ago we learned that during the storm mentioned above we got just over an inch and a half of rain .... haven't heard any reports of hail or wind damage so it appears the local corn crop got some needed rain .... following a nice day, they are calling for the temp to drop into the low 50's tonight

plans to go walleye fishing this morning were cancelled by wind and rain .... plans to spend a couple of hours at Trap Range this afternoon still look good .... we've reached the point where its really hard to believe that we only have 3 weeks left between now and when we are scheduled to head home

its 10:30 PM Central Time, 11:30PM back home .... we are sitting in our camper watching Hurricane Isaias make landfall in the southeastern part of our home state .... 100,000+ already shown as being without power .... our home alarm cameras are showing steady rain and light wind .... both ran and wind are anticipated to strengthen over the next few hours .... watching the coverage reminds of a long night back in Oct 2018 when we rode out Hurricane Michael in our camper, lets just say we have no desire to do that again any time soon .... right now about all we can do is hope and pray

I watched it until 2AM .... just got off the phone with all of our kids and all's good at home .... they really didn't have much wind but did get very heavy rain .... looks like our area came out about as good as can be expected

Yes, I saw that Jim, very sad. I think it was a trailer park.

Really just heavy rain for a couple of hrs. A little ponding on the roads. Slept through it myself. Flora woke up and watched it for awhile. The creek behind us did not come close to flooding.

from what has been reported on the storm's impact north of us, our area clearly was very lucky
