Hey Al, if you ever get over this way there's a CG called Mountain view 1.5 miles from me. We could do some shooting at my range, and tell some lies.

Been to Tennessee one time Moetur and loved it. Looked that up on Google maps thats a long way over there. Im the best there is at tellin lies

A hot day here in the Ozarks, buts its sunday so I'm resting. Tomorrow back to the hay hauling. Now im supping the coffee and being happy.

64° on the mountain, and it's going to 86° later on the mountain. Just downed the 1st cup of coffee. Looming forward to the 2nd. I've got some donuts to consume for breakfast. I might start working on the .45 acp that we shot yesterday. My youngest Boy said he had never shot a 1911. So I let him try it out. After that I taught him how to field strip my 1911 Colt. Cheers!

80 at 6:30, supposed to get up to 88 today. Chance of thunderstorms predicted but the radar looks like Lake Michigan is breaking the storm up so who knows. Yesterday MDOT was repaving one lane of the highway which is the only road out and it was clogged up until 3:00. Was a bit of a pain but it will be great when they finish up here Monday. Picking Jalapeño peppers this morning, have to thin them out. Setting up the dehydrator in the shop, got a goodly amount. My family doesn't want any ( I have 6 plants ) and I want to preserve most for cooking.

we are happy to see a beautiful, considerably cooler 65 degree morning were we are camped in east central South Dakota .... forecasted his of 81 with a 5 to 10% chance of rain throughout the day .... getting a late start this morning, breakfast will be along sooner or later ...

Yup, we have that dry clear cool air as well.
Just finished some Cream of Wheat and coffee and now setting down to rest.
Church this morning was sad. Very few folks in attendance, however they are live streaming the service
so I suppose many are watching at home.

It was hornets that got me yesterday. They are DEAD! I did get stung but the swelling is down now.
It was divine providence that I went out to light the grill. Usually Carol does that and she is very allergic
to stings. I've had her in the Emergency Room more than once.

When I married Carol she came with a fifteen year old daughter who had been trouble with a capital T. I guess what she wanted was a real home because she settled right down, went back to school, and even graduated from college. She is now a very successful realtor in Minneapolis with her own sales group. Well anyway.....
We hadn't been married too long when I came home from work one day. Carol was in Minneapolis getting her house ready for the market, and as I came in I called downstairs to my step daughter to say hello. She called back that she'd been stung multiple times and was changing clothes to go to the Emergency Room. OMG! I got her in my car, called 911 and got the police to provide an escort. Her eyes were swelling shut half way there but the police led the way through town. They even had blocked intersections for us. We went through the town to the hospital 90 mph with a squad in front and another behind. We got there and a Doc came out and exclaimed OMG!
At first they didn't think they could save her, so I called her Mother with the bad news, but by the time she got to us the Docs said she might make it. She did thank God.

Entirely true.

Her Mother is that allergic as well.

Same here Forty, 97 in the shade. Mowed the yard anyway. Did 2 loads of laundry, reloaded a few 45/70, listen to part of the race on the PC, got my weekly pills ready for next week, washed the dishes, coffee ready for the AM. Think I'm done for the day.

63° on the mountain, and wet. Big storm passed through yesterday. A real frog strangler. 1st cup of dark roast down, and the dog is fed. All's good. Making the trip into town today for supplies. Cheers

60 here. Back to work today. 10 days left and counting. Headed for 91 today. Gonna try and shoot the new pellet rifle tonight. Stay tuned for target pics.
