Hello from Central Washington State
Hello,
My son and I are new Henry rifle owners, so I look forward to gleening some good information on the forums.
We started this journey when I bought him a .22 in March. H001, I believe.
He is going to complete Hunter's education and hopes to hunt deer in the fall. I bought a Single Shot in .357 for him and one in .30-30 for me.
We shot them for the first time yesterday and are going out today to try to get those rear sight in the right place. Would welcome any tip!
If you are a pocket knife collector, you may recognize my name if you frequent Bladeforums and have an interest in traditional folding knives.
Thank you for accepting me into the community.

Hi Ed welcome to the forum. Those rear sights on the single shots should just drift over. But I have one in 357 and didnt really care for the sights to much. I ended up putting a red dot on mine which I like much better. the 357 SS is a great choice. I really like mine. Ive also done some spring changing which in deed made the hammer pull and trigger pull much better. Please also visit our how many thread and add yours to our running total

Hey Ed! Welcome from Nebraska. I want to hear more about your singles. That is my next choice for a hunter.
Glad you are bringing your son in for the ride. Good work.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.
