I'm inspired by this mornings breakfast! It made me think what other things I can make with spam? Then I thought what would the people on this site use Spam for? What are some of your recipes and combos that you or your family use?

Haven't had it in a long time but back in my backpacking days I'd carry a can or two and just punch holes in the can and bake it on the coals!

I grew up poor and Spam was once a week. My mom would fry it up and put "Stuff" in the pan with it. I still like it My wife grew up on a Reservation, before casinos , and the government food that they gave out had a healthy portion of Spam in it. She hates it!

I had Spam one time only I believe.

It was about 45 years ago.

I was not impressed, lol.

Wife bought a lot of Spam when threatened by Ike and weeks of time without electric. We finished it off eventually. Not really fond of it but not bad for breakfast with toast and eggs.

I patched a pair of 2 buckle overshoes with a slice of it once...(jk) It's not too bad grilled over charcoal, used to toss into mac and cheese as a filler.

As I previously said; great Bunker food, along with Vienna Sausage, canned fish, canned meat and about anything else with a shelf life of nearly forever. Not saying if anyone enjoys these products, not to eat them, they are affordable, ( very much so ). Enjoy! They also might help extend your life someday.

Got a friend who eats those Vienna Sausages when we go hunting. They have different flavors of them. To me there enuf to gag a maggot. Ill take my chance with some beef jerky

Spam was an occasional *treat* as a kid. Last time I had any was during a vacation to Maui.
