Uberti
Ok, so as I research Henry's I see lots of pics on the web of Uberti Henry rifles. I do not know anything about Uberti except they are made in Italy and do a lot of historical firearms for movies and TV shows. I see them in the credits often. Cowboy shooters use 'em too.
Are they any actually any good?

Re: Uberti
Uberti is top notch. Chiappa also makes a lot of firearm props for movie. I have a firing prop pistol from Chiappa and it feels real cheap. But it photographs well. Uberi is the real deal though.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A._Uberti,_Srl.Uberti firearms have been featured in numerous Western movies thanks to their authentic looks. Italian filmmaker Sergio Leone visited the Uberti factory in the 1960s to procure replica Civil War and Old West revolvers for use in all his Western films including The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West.[8] Other movie credits include Uberti's Colt Walker featured in John Wayne's 1969 True Grit, as well as the same model in Clint Eastwood's The Outlaw Josey Wales (1979). All firearms in the 1990 Western Dances with Wolves starring Kevin Costner were Uberti's, while a number of Uberti rifles and pistols have also been used in the 1993 Movie Tombstone featuring Val Kilmer and Kurt Russell.

Re: Uberti
my major knock on Uberti comes from it being made overseas .... given a high quality made in the USA alternative is available, we choose to spend our money on an American made Henry

Re: Uberti
American companies making .22LR single actions need to step up to the plate. The Uberti Cattleman cylinder has been reamed while the Ruger Single-Ten and been drilled straight through. This picture shows how the brass will not fit into the backside of the Uberti cylinder while the brass easily goes all the way in the Ruger.JEBar wrote:my major knock on Uberti comes from it being made overseas .... given a high quality made in the USA alternative is available, we choose to spend our money on an American made Henry
My Single-Ten is no where near as accurate as my Uberti.

Re: Uberti
interesting .... I don't own a 22 revolver but if/when I get one I'll certainly keep that in mind
Re: Uberti
The cylinder photos are very educational. It seems like Ruger has been wimping out on some of their revolver qc.

Here my 22 revolver . This is the 1st and only target I shot on paper . I use this gun on steel target for cheap CAS/SASS practice and my pair of 38's are on the same frame .

The Henry is a super gun . But in the CAS/SASS world there is nothing faster and smoother the a 73 copy .JEBar wrote:my major knock on Uberti comes from it being made overseas .... given a high quality made in the USA alternative is available, we choose to spend our money on an American made Henry
