Peanut butter cookies and coffee now thats a breakfast of champions for sure. Peanut butter cookies are a fav of mine also.
I have a great wife. I simply mentioned that years ago my Mom made them and how much I liked them, and the next day I had some. I plowed snow for the neighbor lady and came home with a bag of Chocolate Chip cookies as well. Been a good week.
The old man lay dying in his bed. In his near death state he could smell a wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen.
His Dear Wife was making his favorite cookies just for him. Probably his last meal on this earth.
He was too weak to call out. He had to have one hot from the oven.
He rolled out of the bed to the floor.
He crawled on his belly to the stairs.
He crawled backwards down the stairs.
His strength was giving out, but the aroma carried him on.
He crawled on his belly into the kitchen.
He could see his Wife at the sink washing dishes.
Using his last ounce of strength he was able to raise up enough to
get one hand on the table.
He almost had one in his hand when his Dear Wife turned around and saw him.
She came to the table and slapped his hand away.
She said, "Stop that, those are for the funeral".
