So...Clay, cans and plastic bottles are ALL safe and acceptable. I save our empty 2 liter bottles and fill them with water. I then add a few drops of food coloring so that they are highly visible.

I save plastic bottles of various sizes and colors, fill them with water and freeze them. Then later shoot them. Flying shrapnel ice chips, amazing!

In Oregon however we have a 10 cent deposit on all beverage cans & plastic & glass bottles.So...Clay, cans and plastic bottles are ALL safe and acceptable.
If they get shot up the redemption machine may not be able to read the bar code.
Consequently our roads & woods areas are relatively can and bottle free.
I still occasionally find shot up glass bottles left by mouth breathing low lifes.
This is of course is highly illegal and comes with a fine UP TO $6,250.

With just the two of us we pretty much live out of the kitchen fridge/freezer. The garage freezer is mostly empty. Freezing small bottles of water take up less room and make for more challenging targets.

Because of the cleanup here I always use the clays. There in a box thats easy to throw in the the car ( or place in the car for people who want to pic apart the post) And there isnt any need to clean up at the grasslands because ( they are as mentioned before biodegradable. Theres enough idiots where I go already who haul out all kinds of garbage to shoot and leave it on government land. Someday there going to have enough of that and shut it down.

How much do clays cost on average Al ? might try that!BigAl52 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 6:39 pmBecause of the cleanup here I always use the clays. The plastic bottles I shoot, are beverages we would have bought anyway. I get the consumption value and the shooting value.
Seriously though, might try the clays if they're cheap.
