It would have been better if I was loading 500 gr Boolits! Of course those might qualify as cruise missiles!

I actually stole that. Hickok45 calls 45/70 shells torpedoes!

Then you'll have to add more powder, there goes your low recoil shooting 45/70 or should I say 45/10...???  :D

Hickok45 is a great guy. Him and John lives just down the road from me.

Looks like I'll need to load some more mouse fart 30-30s and a bunch of .40 and 45LC. Took my sisters and brother-in-law shooting today. They really enjoyed the 165 gn MBC with Herco load in the 30-30. Come to think of it... I really like that one too. :D

Reloading some 44 Special coated 240gr SWC for my Ruger Redhawk 5.5" barrel. Got these coated 240gr SWC the first of this your and worked up the load data for them and now, it's time to load them up. I plan on loading 500 of them up since 4th of July is just around the corner. Neighbor down the road from me just bought himself a Henry Big Boy Brass chambered in 357 Magnum. So, me and him decided to attack some full size AR500 IDPA steel targets over the 4th of July weekend.

I just primed 100 cases for my .357 BBB and Uberti revolver that I shot and cleaned from last week and put them in their boxes. Soon, I'll be reloading 100 more 130 gr. FMJs in anticipation of another session at the range this week.

Handloading is full of different pleasures; first carefully building the ammo, step by step; then shooting it, followed by cleaning the gun(s) and the spent brass, and finally building them again for another day at the range.

It's a great hobby. I wish I'd been doing it for the last fifty years and not just the last two; though, better late than never.

Well if you own any black rifles, might want to stock up on components.
Probably be a run on them in the near future.

I have been buying some stuff for reloading. still need a little more brass. I've been thinking the same thing. Not just black rifle stuff. The closer it get to November the worse it's gonna get.

I've got torpedo cases in the vibrator as I type.

There won't be any tragic stories about Henrys or SAA revolvers. I'm pretty sure.

Maybe not at 1st! Last time this happened. Run on ammo. Revolver stuff was some of the last to come back on the shelves.

In Australia they have confiscated all the semi autos. Now they are going after the lever actions and pumps!

You're right, Squatch. The reaction of panicked and fearful buyers (especially this year) is the most important problem we'll have regarding components. And it may go on for quite awhile, panic being what it is.

I began my shooting hobby after SH and during an insane shortage of everything, especially in CT. As a result, as an enthusiastic new shooter, I began to buy reloading powder and primers and bullets and ammunition (especially 22LRs) whenever I would find them, which wasn't often, and just because they were available! At the same time, I was totally mystified by it all. Later, I considered the effects that a popular panic can have and that I responded in kind. I bought those things even when I didn't actually need them; rather, I bought them in case I might never see them on the shelves again. As Walter Cronkite famously said, "That's the way it is..."

So, I'm glad to have found enough of all of them to carry me through the next very many years. I really hope to live so long.

380 Auto today.
Won't help much for bears but works great for bad guys and dogs.

Yeh, they are small. The little bitty 100 gr RNFP seems hard to get hold of some times. I started reloading them when I began furnishing 380 auto pistols for the class to try out. Then of course I got my daughter one to practice with. And a couple friends wanted me to reload some for them.
The truth is I like reloading nearly as much as shooting so for people that really get out and practice I will load their 380s for them. A friend of mine cast bullets commercially, I have to pay him a visit and get some more 380 bullets.

Just poking fun. They are also easy shooting and very concealable.

Yes reloading is therapy for me. After years in a crazy multi-tasking tech support job my long term focus had been destroyed. Reloading safely requires so much concentration that it has really helped me recover some of my mental focus since I retired. That's huge to me. I was starting to feel kinda ADD.

I hear you, Squatch. Reloading beats the heck outta watching mind-numbing TV for me. I'm loading some max load #9 .357 tonight. My Henry and my shooting work better with fast bullets I never used AA powders until it was all I could get during the drought for handgun loads. I'm happy with it so far. I use #5, #7 and #9. AA #9 is my new magnum powder. I stick to AA's load chart and have loads for 38, 357, 9mm and 40 S&W that work. My only complaint is how fine it is. It leaks some out of my Lee Pro Disk Powder measure but I can live with it.
