The melt off occurred and UPS finally ran. Edge Kote in hand I was able to get into the shop, apply edge kote to the holster, sheath and gunbelt itself and reburnish the works. I am pleased to call this project done. :)

For those who might wonder, the wet re-forming of the holster worked. The Uberti fits perfectly now. Sorry, I meant to post a pic of the refitted gun/holster combo. I wet molded the walmart bagged Single Action and let it stay in the holster for about six hours, then let the holster air dry for 24 hours after rolling the top edge. I rechecked the fit, made some minor corrections, then let 'er dry another 48 hours. The Edge Kote came in shortly after that and I was able to finish off the project.
