Rimfire and other plinking Sunday''''

Post by fortyshooter » Mon Mar 18, 2024 10:41 am

My son and his wife and little "Dead Eye' Macie wanted to go down to the range and also hike along the creek so yesterday was the best of weather for it all. Macie did very well with the S&W Victory 22 LR which is her favorite having not shot anything in a while. Had a stubborn steel bandit that did not want to fall no matter how many 22 hits it took so I took the 20 ga. Coach side x side with # 7 1/2 shot and that sent him flying backwards!

Then some fun with my S&W Model 69 44 mag revolver 4.2 barrel. That thing is sweet to shoot with moderate-low level Magnum loads and very handy L frame size! Makes me think why I needed that Anaconda in the first place which is on it's 2nd trip back for repairs.

Just another FUN Sunday in the woods!

Sounds like a good time with the family there, forty.

I did a similar thing Sat., but was all alone in my endeavor.
Started out with the Rossi 357 and one of the 22 bolt guns.
That morphed into a couple more 22's and the Marlin Cowboy and the 444P, no broken chain bolts though. ;)
Heck I even pulled out 2 of the 410 scatter guns and the electronic clay thrower.
Was a pretty fun day, then spent Sun. morn cleaning them and depriming brass.

Thanks for sharing the plinking, guys. Reminds me that I'm a bit overdue for some plinking, but our weather hasn't been the greatest. That's my excuse at least.
