I never got into black powder, but one of my friends back in VA was heavy enough into black powder that he was a Champion Competitor and owned a large number of BP firearms. My son dated his beautiful daughter while they were in high school and used to shoot BP with the dad, but not interested enough to continue after we moved away. He laughed and said the clean up wasn't worth the effort.

He was VERY respectful with the man's child. The dad collected a lot of firearms. Not only BP, but was one of the largest Class III collectors in the state, and the collection included machine guns, grenade launchers, and real cannons and mortars. Twice a year he loaded up a flat bed and drove to the desert and competed with the cannons. Yeah, you want to be really respectful when the gal's dad could blow up your house from a mile away. :D
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.
