After work delight with Ruger 1911.
After doing some clearing for a new target storage shed it was time to plink with the Cmd 1911 45. Location was that little board walk over Ricochet Creek...really a runoff ditch nature created and the large gong. Had not shot it in a while and it ran perfectly.

I think the 1911 is the perfect pistol design. Good to see you out plinking although with a 45ACP is more Plinking with a capital P.

Was going to bring along the Henry 22 Pumper too but since I always carry a good caliber side arm down there fiqured I would give him some excersise.
If more time will bring Pumper next trip. Ammo was my 230gr. hardball over 6.0 Unique.

That is a pretty pistol. I was thinking plinking with a .45 is actually Plunking!

It RAN perfectly, but how does it shoot. Are the Ruger 1911s pretty accurate, compared to the Kimber, Springfield, and Colt 1911s? Just asking.

Well I think it shoots well as well as I can keep it on target. I had to dig thru my target plate collection and found one. My first couple shots wandered a bit!BrokenolMarine wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 2:21 pmIt RAN perfectly, but how does it shoot. I have had the 230 gr. XTP load group better and run those with 6.5 Unique with nice full expansion and 14-16 inch pentration.
Think these shots were the 230 XTP
