I’m back to working on the inside at least for a day. I picked up and installed the custom top to the four-chest island.

Very nice Gene!
It will probably take some time to remember where everything is in those cabinet drawers. I love it though! That cabinet top is beautiful.

Most of my guests are getting familiar with the layout and where everything is. Especially since they do most of the cooking.

I received three more loads of gravel today. I should be spreading it with the tractor.

I would say that watching the Brewers is just as important as spreading gravel. Good for you to understand that.

It’s a good thing I bought the 21 acres around me. I actually built the RVport on the neighbors land. Well maybe only the propane tank. And you can see the garage is totally off the original property.

This is cropped showing my north, west and east borders. The south border goes another 10% farther and the land to the southeast across the road is not mine. I originally bought 5 acres and then bought 20.9 more a year later.

These updated satellite pictures (above) were taken about three weeks ago. I can tell because the rocks were still in the middle of the driveway.
The picture below was taken before I moved here.

Thanks Dave. I brought more junk home today. I paid $10 to $20 each for these steel wagon wheels.

Wow, that’s a steel (steal  ). I’ve noticed one or two wagon wheels in your pictures and thought they fit in perfectly.

My new insulated garage doors are being installed today. Here they are removing the old doors.

It’s about halfway completed. They still have most of the tracks to install. The windows are a tad high for viewing out but would have been too low down one panel.

You'll be a lot happier with these doors. Air leaks should be gone. We had similar 8' doors put on the house. I had the window panel at the top. Didn't want strangers being able to just walk by or walk up and just peer into the garage at what they might want to breakin and steal.

They just finished and the doors are quiet and airtight. I have enough windows where anyone can peek inside.

Thanks all. Even the local people like what I’m doing to the place. It’s naturally beautiful and the former owners remodeled the house to take advantage of the view. Now I’m adding to what they did. It’s been featured in magazines and on television over the decades.

The new ‘summer kitchen’ which is what the locals call building like my garage is quite popular. Almost everyday I have a visitor or eight. It’s a hangout for a bunch of us that play cards, watch ballgames and go antique-ing together. It’s got a full kitchen anvd people bring dishes that we cook together.
