Any improvement with cocobolo?

I photo shopped the picture a little bit to try and make the revolver closer to my tastes.
The grip is moved closer to the trigger guard.
The hunch back is removed.
The barrel is made slightly longer. But I think I would like it better even longer.
I'd like the trigger guard a little bit squatter, less round. But I didn't do that.

I like those grips, but it doesn't make me like the revolver any more.
I recently saw one with the other grip style and in person they look better.
But, can't see paying $800 for one.
Here after taxes and the BG check fee it would be nearly $900 OTD.
That's a Big Nada for me.
For that I could nearly get a Brand New Marlin 1894 357 rifle.

I agree that the $800 price tag is high if you're not into revolvers, but relative to other revolvers, even single action revolvers, that's actually a pretty competitive price. My recent S&W 617 22 LR ran $899 and right now, a basic Ruger GP-100 357, a revolver the Henry is competing against, is running around $850 if you shop around. The fancier versions of the GP-100 like the Match Champion will run a lot more, though, up over 1K. Yeah, ouch! Have to remember that manufacturers like Smith, Colt and Ruger no longer make revolvers as their priority line. It's all semi-autos, now.

I as well like the grips but not the price and I have not cared for the gun itself. I just got a good deal on a 686 plus deluxe 825.00 plus tax. I like it alot better.

Apples To apples on price the GP100 and the 617 have adjustable sights and are more refined then the H.R.A. revolver. Even my old Colt Trooper has a target hammer , adjustable sights and a very smooth action. To me if the Henry had a six inch barrel and adjustable sights, then it would deserve consideration. Maybe if they cut the price on what they have they would sell more. I would like to know what the sales figures on them are and when they will bring out the .22 model.

NCG, I'm a revolver person when it comes to handguns, of the 2 dozen +/-, only 5 are SA's.
As far as 357 revolvers go I have a nice pair already in a Ruger New Vaquero and an original Colt King Cobra.

Like Travlin said with the Ruger and Smith you have much better sights for that money.
Probably find a Ruger Speed-six for under $800, if ya wanted a DA with fixed sights.
