Skinner front blade

Put a .60 Skinner front blade on my 24" Frontier and it wasn't tall enough as it is still 2.5 inches high at 25yds. I have a Williams FP sight and it sits tall. The .60 sight is the tallest they have with a 3/8" base so I guess I'll have to go with a 1/2" base with a .7" blade. Live, learn and save $20. Couldn't be to unhappy though as it is giving me a little over 1/2" groups @ 25yds with CCI standard velocity and that is about the best I can do with old eyes and iron sights.

It was CCI standard velocity. this gun seems to like it. I am hoping to find some high velocity ammo that shoots well for matches.

Many stick to the sub-sonic ammo for fear of tans-sonic instability.
Really surprised at the sight not working.
I put one of those Skinner ront sights on my Zane Grey 30-30 . Looks like an 747 tail, but it worked.
Did you look at Globe sights? Very popular in the game.

Skinner sent me my second front blade for my frontier. I was shooting low with the .60 blade so I put one of their .75 blades and took off about .10 with a file as it was close before with the .60 but no cigar. Ojai is right it does look like the tail of a 747 because the Williams FP sits so high. I didn't shoot it much just enough to sight it in but 4 out of the last 5 were touching at 25yds using CCI standard velocity.
