I am still trying the picture posting. Any one remember this picture? Receiver and barrel band stripped of the black paint.

Ya done great on your picture post, Bandit! Good to see that rifle and the open fields again.
Photos definitely will add to your commentaries and interesting hunting stories you share.
Keep 'me coming our way.

That looks really nice. If the receiver or should I say when the receiver starts to peal paint that is exactly the way I will do mine on my SGR. Looks great.

Very nice. I like the matte finish.

I remember that very well, bandit. I think it was your photo that encouraged me to do the same to my H001T. That black finish sure was tough!

My Henry Frontier is my favorite. just had a repair done by Henry and it shoots like it just came out of the box.
my question to you guys is about scopes. The one I had on there for the past five years just broke down. looking for anew rimfire scope.Which do you guys like best?

Welcome to the forum from CT. For a while, I had an inexpensive Simmons 4x32 scope on my H001 and it was just fine. I've since removed it in favor of the iron sights, but while I used it, it proved to be more than adequate. You can spend more for a better scope, but you may not want to. You'll get lots of advice about scopes from folks who know a lot more than me. This is a great place to share and learn and we have some very friendly and knowledgeable folks. Glad you joined us.

Welcome to the forum from the TV Oregon. My favorite scope is the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x30. A good sturdy reliable scope.

I remember that picture very well. The perfect Henry.

I still plan to do this but buying several other guns has messed up my plans.

Bought a silver scope and a hammer extension but no H-0001-T yet.

Nice sling. Would you mind sharing where you bought it?

I think this one was gave to me but I believe this might be what it is. I made some mods to it by punching a few extra holes and some more rawhide lacing to make it look better and tie up the loose ends. This sling allows you to not have to drill the stock and only add a tube band on magazine tube. I didn't want holes in my stock. I think it also gives a old time look to my Frontier.

This one is a NOS T/C muzzle loader sling that my wife and I added a lot of extra holes and rawhide lacing to it to get the look I was after and no loose ends hanging free. This really has a older look to me and I like the buck skin color against the wood color of my 336 Zane Grey.

I got my 'No-Drill' sling at Brass Stacker. They make them specifically for Henry rifles without sling studs.
