Henry (er..Sam) is in wolfie's den!

Guess I should make a post here about my new Rifle...:)

It's a Henry in 22 caliber.

Love it!
Haven't shot it yet, but I'm thinking about a target in the back yard this afternoon…
The wood on this rifle is beautiful.
I've been told it is Missouri Walnut. ;)

This will be one that I won't ever part with (along with my HK).
You could have all my other ones, but not those 2.

Well, here he is, and I named him Sam. :)

And, one inside…

OK, couldn't wait this past weekend...
I only put a few rounds through a Sundrop can…

But, it's doing well.
Could possibly use some sight adjustments, but I'll wait till I can actually get a target up at known distance...

Nice to meet Sam Henry, He is a fine looking fella. I haven't named my Henry but I suspect She would need a short name. She is a Mare's Leg 22. Maybe Joy because she is so much fun to shoot.
I envy your ability to shoot in the backyard.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday. ;)

I love the wood on Henrys. Yup, MO is one of three states that Henry obtains it's wood from. Do you know specifically that yours is from MO? If so, how did you find that out? It would be interesting if Henry keeps that close tabs on its rifle production.

Also it is fun to shoot at pop cans. Last time I had my SGC (.22LR) out, I did that, too. They fly real nice.
Sounds like you're really enjoying the new rifle already.....great! :)

Congratulations! I am very pleased with mine in appearance and function. I have heard that you can shoot just about any brand ammo in it. So far, I have only used Federal target loads as I have only had it for a short period of time. But, I am very pleased with the accuracy and since I like to take a hike in the game lands and along the mountain, I prefer to carry it as compared to my Golden Boy because it is lighter. I know you will enjoy yours.

Mine will shoot anything although Yellow Jackets sometimes can be a little tricky.

Same goes for my Golden Boy.

Congrats on the new Henry. It does have some nice wood. They all have pretty wood but some more so than others.
