Swapping to large loop
Swapping to large loop
New Henry owner here. Just purchased the HOO1 Lever .22 rifle and would like to change the stock lever to a large loop.
After removing the receiver cover, is it simply a matter of popping out the lever pin and installing the new lever or are there other parts which must be disassembled as well (locking bar, etc.) ??
Thanks in advance for any info. By the way, love this rifle. Wife has the carbine version.

Many thanks JE. I had previously searched the net but never found this particular video. It'll be a great help once the lever gets here.

acky,
There are also maintenance videos on the Henry web site. Have you seen those?
Here is the link for disassembly/reassembly of the H001, plus other related H001 videos.

The Henry rep takes it at a slow pace, and the photography is very good. See if this provides some help for your install of large loop.

I did mine a few months ago. The Henry video is excellent. The written instructions that come with the lever would likely get you there. Not a difficult job IMO.

I agree with clovishound - I installed a large loop on a Golden Boy about a month ago. I used the directions that came with the loop with no problems.

I watched the full collection of videos supplied, last night.
Pretty well done and makes it look easy.

Easy to do but be careful you don't enlarge the holes. The key is not to force the pin. It should go back with just the pressure of your finger or a very very very slight tap.
