Rifle case

Post by Steve in PA » Sun Dec 18, 2022 9:53 pm

Looking for a soft side rifle case for my Henry Lever Action Octagon Frontier H001T. Henry says the overall length is 38.5” but all I can seem to find is scoped rifle cases.

Yikes, $150 for a soft case? I am unsure why you don’t just buy a scoped case. This is a VERY nice one for 1/3 the cost.

Maybe a shotgun case? These are cheap but not high quality, with minimal padding and small zipper.

Are you looking for a transport case or a storage case? Because you should not store any firearm long term in any case….

Have you looked at Henry's yet? I got the green. It's a little longer than I like. But, orange was just not doing it for me.

I have a few cases that are made for carbines like Henrys that are the proper length. Not sure if they are even in business anymore but mine are Kolpin brand. They are not very padded but are fine for transport from home to the range.

Kolpin now makes mostly hard ATV cases, they do have a couple of double rifle soft cases but they are 52" and $100 MSRP.... You better hold onto your short ones Hatchdog!

I have four Kolpin cases, 3 rifle, 1 handgun. Had 'em for a while tho. Rest are Allen, I believe.

OP; I have a Ruger 10-22 rifle case and it fits my 39A just fine. Maybe look at one of those?
