I don't know how many, other than myself and Dave that own the "Garden Gun".

Upon handleing it more recently, it occurred to me how practical it would be to have sling swivels on it. After all, it's for "The Garden", and surrounding property. Much easier to sling such a rifle, rather than carry while doing chores etc. It's designed for Critters, pests and vermin and you never know when you'll encounter them. Hence, easier carry.

I love this little " ShotGun". ...just thinkn'..

I think mounted on a turret would be cool.

Yes, especially for those Carpenter Bees I've been at war with!!

It’s not just the garden gun that could benefit from a sling. Remember slings are not just for carrying as they are also good for steadying a rifle while shooting offhand. These are currently the only two rifles I have with slings.

Yeh...I guess so. I just don't want one strapped around the barrel. I was just thinking, I'm surprised that Henry didn't install them on this particular rifle. Heck, my BBS came with swivels.

I’m sure you could find a set from Michaels of Oregon that would clamp to the mag tube for the front. Unfortunately the rear would have to be screwed into the stock. Of course you would have to measure the OD of your tube but these might work. Uncle Mikes also sells a step drill kit to help with the stock drilling.

Just a hint from over 50 years of construction, when you get ready to screw into the wood rub some paraffin or beeswax on the wood screw threads to make in thread in easier and cleaner. Do not use bar soap as it is caustic and will rust the screw.

I learned about beeswax from my dad. Always have a bock around.

When hammers still had wooden handles I would drill a shallow hole about one half inch in diameter in the end of the handle opposite the head.Light a candle and let it drip into the whole until it is flush with the end. When it is time to drive a finish nail into some Maple,Oak or hard Pine, stick the pointed end of the nail into the wax and proceed to drive it.

I shoot carpenter bees with a 38 special. Loaded with 2 grs of Bullseye. A cardboard wad. Fill the case with #9-10 or #12 shot with over wad of cardboard.
Love shooting them flying and this load won't damage the tin when I shoot them under my shed.
