Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Im hooked
Just brought home my second Henry, less than a month after the first one. This one is a rimfire (the H001 classic .22) I dont know why I waited so long to discover these. Just simply finding a rifle with a real walnut stock that is actually affordable almost floored me. With Marlin transitioning again, and Brownings costing what they do, Im thankful for this company. I wouldnt exactly call my BBS sidegate a bargain...but this one sure is. Once I learn how to navigate Skinner's website, I'll be ordering a peep for this rifle. I understand that the frontier model in .22 WMR comes factory equiped with a peep, and that one will probably be #3 for me.

Re: Im hooked
Congratulations and welcome! You will enjoy them all. I hope to add a HOO1V .17 HMR, ( Varmit Express) at some point as well. I have handled one, but at the time, I opted for the H001TLP, .22 S/L/LR ( Small Game Carbine ). I comes with Skinners.

That small game model you mention is what I was really after, but I settled for the standard H001 since that was all my gun shop could get. We suddenly have piles of .22 cb shorts at our local sporting goods store for some reason, so it should be fun playing around with those in this rifle.markiver54 wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 10:01 amCongratulations and welcome! Just add the Skinners to yours and you'll have essentually the same rifle short of the large loop lever, which you may or may not want anyway.

I bought a Lever Action Magnum Express in .17 HMR with a cantilever scope mount. No front sight & no rear sight and a round barrel. Henry catalog lists it as a H001ME and in .22 WMR not .17, box lists it as a H001V but it does not look like the H001V in the catalog

Sounds like the Magnum Express. I wouldn't mind having one of those either.
