I have been wanting one for awhile. A LGS has them on sale for $499. The early ones had some issues, has the bugs been worked out?

Re: Henry pump 22
I have not had any issues with mine. A little stiff in the beginning but loosening up with use. LGS had a Winchester 22 pump yesterday that had just been traded in. Did not have a price on it yet but I passed on it. Like my Henry.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I have not had any problem with mine, in fact my 10 year old granddaughter shoots it a lot with no problems including pumping it!

I am sorry for posting this in the wrong section. Thanks for replying to my post in spite of it. I really like all my Henry's and the pump would take me back to better days. The price of $499 is the best I have seen in these parts.

Re: Henry pump 22
I have had one for a few years and love it. Do yourself a favor and get a SPEED D Loader for it so that when you go to the range you can spend more time shooting and less time loading. The ones with octagon barrel are the new version and are a little stiff to begin with but after 5 or 6 hundred shots start to smooth up. The more you shoot them the better they work. Pump it like you are mad at it and keep your thumb out of the way from the bolt as it comes back.

Re: Henry pump 22
I bought one about 6 months ago. No problems yet. I am filling down those stupid high ears on the buckhorn rear sight. They cover too much of the target area. Already filed them off on a BL-22 Gr II.

Marbles makes a sight called a semi-buckhorn and also one called a flat top. Cheaper to file off the ears but there are options out there.
