I like it. What kind of finish?
Like the dull not shiny look.👍

H001T Frontier. Got creative. I know the barrel band and the receiver cover were painted black and decided to strip them
with aircraft remover and a brass wire brush. I found a smooth aluminum like surface underneath which I could have easily
cleacoated to look great. Decided on Rustoleum Warm Gold. Feather sanded with 600 grit wet/fry, cleaned them with acetone, primed and sprayed color. Very happy with the results. Rustoleum claims handle time 8 hours but it takes a week or
two to really harden.

Thanks Hatchdog, I wanted something as close to brass as I could get.

yes, that is a good job. Very good. And you don't have all the drop in the rear like the Golden Boy has. Nice work.

I did something similar, instead I left it silver and let it tarnish a bit then clear coated.
Kinda like an Evil Roy before there was such a thing. Then I added a saddle ring.

I was actually at my local gun shop looking at a Golden Boy today. Beautiful gun! I have a Henry Frontier and I may also strip the black paint. You did a great job with your Frontier.

Thanks RichG87. I knew that the receiver was painted already so that could be redone. Unlike brass or case hardened
steel. I wouldn't mess with that. Once everything was prepped I hung the pieces on a metal wire clothes hanger. 3 light coats of primer and then color.....Rustoleum Warm Gold.

Well if I ever get another Henry 22, I'ma steal'n this idea.
Think one of them octagon barreled jobs would look pretty cool.

Henry Golden Boy Nikon.JPG
I like it. Less stock angle and a grooved receiver for much closer scope mounting than the Golden Boy.

At one time Henry offered the H001 receiver cover and barrel band in brasslite. I like yours better.

Amazing job on that man! I just bought a Henry h001 installed the big lever and after seeing your rifle I'm going to have to steal that idea because it looks sweet.
