Golden Boy ordered

Post by Centaur » Sat May 15, 2021 2:32 pm

Put a Golden Boy on order today, and it is supposed to arrive at the store on 5-24. They are just too cool to not have one. And it appears that 22lr is becoming a bit more available, so there should be something to feed it. Like my H001, but it ain’t as purty as the GB.
Should be the prettiest plinker in Wyoming!

Well dont get me wrong its a great looking gun and at one time I had one. But the drop on the stock is different from the other Henrys and getting a good cheek weld for me wasnt possible. In no way am I trying to discourage you just wanted you to be aware of it.

I have noticed the drop on the stock in pictures, so time will tell if it will fit me.

It’s in my possession! A short trip to the range told me that it shoots where you point it, but the stock drop will take some getting used to. Super windy today, but I was still hitting pop can size targets out to 50 yards or so, offhand. That’ll work.

I love mine. It is more accurate then I'll ever be. Been shooting 38special ,some 357magnum and 22lr for 4 years. Have been enjoying 22lr more and more recently .

I think that the drop issue may be solved. Went through Big Timber Mt. yesterday and stopped at Shiloh Sharps to salivate over their beautiful rifles. They had an add on cheek piece that looks like it should work to get a cheek weld on the GB. I will try it next week when we get home and post a pic.
