Ordered an H003T (pump)

Post by bdbrown66 » Tue Feb 23, 2021 10:53 am

I currently have 3 centerfire Henry's, which I love, but their rimfire models have never really appealed much to me. From the ones I've handled, they just seem to be too small or something. Comparing them to, say, a Marlin 39A and they seem dainty. However, I got to looking at the Henry pump rifle, and that seems more up my alley.

I started searching online and locally, and they seem to be hard to find right now (along with everything else, of course). I did finally locate some, and the prices of them have gone up, but hey...it's only money.

For those of you that have an H003, what are your thoughts? Mine should be here in a few days.

Cheers,
Brian

I have one and like it alot. It will take sometime to smooth up the pump action and its not close to the lever action in smooth. Pump it like you are mad at it and you will be fine. About 500 rounds thru mine before it loosened up.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Ditto on running 500 rounds through it before it cycles right. But from then on it’s really fun to shoot.

I have one and after loosening up it has become one of my favorites, unfortunately or (maybe fortunately), it is one of my grandkids favorite too and uses it a lot more than I when we go to range.

Have one and like it. It is a little stiff but I don't mind.
