I bought the 22 mag version and love it. The only change I made was to add a youth stock. I have short arms and running the lever was hard for both me and the wife. It is our favorite rifle and I'm on the look out for a 22 lr version .

I have the .22 and the .22 mag in carbine versions. Love them, they balance well, the skinners work better than the buckhorn for my older eyes and smooth as butter.

This is my other "small game carbine" in 22 mag. . . But it's made by Winchester. . .
Nowdays it also has Skinner sights on it.

Certainly understand that! Love mine too!
Mine is not a mag though.

My SGC is in 22mag and it shoots and functions very well, very accurate too. Mine is the 17" barrel version.

I want a SGC in 22LR myself. Love my Golden Boy but like the idea of a shorter, lighter rifle with Skinner Sights.
I have Skinner Sights on my 357mag Steel Carbine and love the sights and rifle. A SGC would make a nice matching pair.

I just went the other way. TRP Rifle with 20'' barrel. I'll be taking it to the range today . . .

Don’t take this the wrong way but I go both ways and have a SGC and a 24” Frontier. The SGC isn’t light to me and weighs 5.75 pounds compared to 4.5 for the Classic Carbine.

The SGC has a better balance for me.

I have always preferred a heavy muzzle, regardless of where or what I'm shooting . . .
