They all look great together. Can't wait for a range report.

I have a Golden Boy but I like the color of the Silver Boy. Another Henry added to my lever-action "WANTED" list.

Re: New Henry Rifle
I am really pretty new to Henry rifles. First one last Christmas. Actually a bit before Christmas as they were on sale and my wife gave it to me before Christmas. The H001 led to the Silver Boy, and I now have another Henry lever action .22 on my wanted list. I just wish I had discovered Henry's many years ago.Danwin22 wrote:I have a Golden Boy but I like the color of the Silver Boy. Another Henry added to my lever-action "WANTED" list.
The Silver Boy has met all of my expectations and will get another work-out later today! I particularly like shooting a 8" steel plate at 75-100 yards. That "ding" I hear with a good shot is a wonderful and rewarding sound, and always makes me smile.

One day I was playing around with my Golden Boy and discovered the stock angle allowed me to lean over and sight with my left eye. Something to remember if you get a sharp stick in your eye.

I am also fairly new to Henrys. I got my first one, a .357 Magnum Big Boy, about four years ago, and also got my first .357 Magnum revolver then. I had some good training in firearm safety from a friend, and had access to his shooting range. Almost all of his targets were 8" or 10" black steel set up at various yardages, and those are what I usually shot at.
Totally agree. Always a blast to hear that down range "clang" right after the .357 Magnum flies out of the barrel!!

Until four years ago all I had ever shot was paper targets. Then I decided to try a steel challenge match at my shooting range. It pretty much changed my shooting interest to shooting steel. I bought a set of five 8" round targets and was having a blast with them. Others I shoot with joined in and now our group has reached about 5-7 people depending on who can show up when we meet.
But I wanted more. So a bought an 8" round AR500 plate on e bay for $25, bought a garden hook, and made a wood base. Now I shoot rifles up to 100 yards, and pistols at shorter ranges with the single steel target. Shooting my rimfire Henry rifles as fast as I can at an 8" plate at 100 yards is one of my favorite things.
Once I started shooting steel I can never go back!
Good shooting to you!

Re: New Henry Rifle
I love shooting gongs but our range only allows it at 200 yards. The good part is they have several set out and some are large animal shaped. The bad part is they are to solid for a .22 to make much noise.
