I thought I had a topic on this, but I guess it was the old forum
So on my classic, there was a really small area of the grain ( almost a knot) on the stock that was at a critical point , where it dovetails into the receiver, and it failed.
So I glued it back, with this "wupti/doo" Walmart space age glue; which needless to say failed after a few months.
To make matters worse, the clamps that I used on the failed repair (my bad) left ("C") marks on the stock.
My first thoughts were self deprecating, but then I thought I thought the interlocking "C"s looked cool, like some kind of "Brand" from a "Triple "C" Ranch or something.......
Fast forward 2 years and this "wupti/doo Walmart space age glue" fails and I use a conventional wood glue, but this time I reinforced it with small (1/64) brass screws
So it looks like h*ll, but...it's definitely my gun
