Frontier lever action

Post by pistolpete » Wed Jul 02, 2025 1:02 pm

I have a Frontier lever action. It is great fun to shoot. Pretty, very smooth reasonably accurate, I shoot it with open sights. I use it as a plinker, mainly shoot clay targets at 25yds. Shoot the clay then shoot the broken pieces till they are gone.[ Also have a Pump, rough, nt so much fun.

Hello Pete, welcome aboard, what kind of pump do you have?
A Henry or something else?

Welcome aboard, having fun with a Henry seems to be the norm. Several folks who own the pump seem to say I starts out pretty stiff but smooths out over time.

Welcome to the forum. It’s a well established fact that shooting Henry rifles can make grown men giggle.

Bienvenido, I’m a fan of lever action rifles, being left handed my first rifle I bought was 25-35 Winchester, been partial to lever actions ever since. Have several Henry’s lever rifles, I also have a Henry pump, one of my granddaughters fell in love with it. She became a very good marks person.

We’re overdue for a Grandpa Granddaughter range report.

Welcome to the Forum!

I have 2 Henry Frontier rifles, one is a .22 WMR. Both are good accurate shooters. I put Skinner peep sights on mine because of aging eyes.
Hope your pump rifle smooths out soon.
