BRM How do you like that Varmint Express. Im looking at one in 22 mag that already has a Burris scope on it. Is yours pretty accuratebrm4450 wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 5:26 pmMarkmarkiver54 wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 10:01 amCongratulations and welcome! You will enjoy them all. I hope to add a HOO1V .17 HMR, ( Varmit Express) at some point as well. I have handled one, but at the time, I opted for the H001TLP, .22 S/L/LR ( Small Game Carbine ). I comes with Skinners.
I bought a Lever Action Magnum Express in .17 HMR with a cantilever scope mount. No front sight & no rear sight and a round barrel. Henry catalog lists it as a H001ME and in .22 WMR not .17, box lists it as a H001V but it does not look like the H001V in the catalog

Mine is a .17 and it is a tack driver. My granddaughter loves it. Have to find the targets but after I got it sighted in (CCI loads) it was putting 3 shot groups in a 1.5 inch diameter circle. (From a bench) 100m

Same here! What took me so long to find 22! Love mine so much I was thinking of getting a second because I'm afraid of over shooting it. This is the one I really want to learn iron sights on and the skinner is on my "to do" list. The web sight is a touch confusing so when I finally "pull the trigger" it will be a phone call just to be sure I order the right peep. Something inside me really wants to get the buckhorn down first but now that I am getting older it is becoming more difficult to keep focussed on all three at the same time. As far as the large loop I honestly find the standard small loop comfortable to work with.Chris74 wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 2:40 amJust brought home my second Henry, less than a month after the first one. This one is a rimfire (the H001 classic .22) I dont know why I waited so long to discover these. Just simply finding a rifle with a real walnut stock that is actually affordable almost floored me. With Marlin transitioning again, and Brownings costing what they do, Im thankful for this company. I wouldnt exactly call my BBS sidegate a bargain...but this one sure is. Once I learn how to navigate Skinner's website, I'll be ordering a peep for this rifle. I understand that the frontier model in .22 WMR comes factory equiped with a peep, and that one will probably be #3 for me.

H001ML, Yup. Go for it! Wish I had one. Might be difficult to find though.RetiredSeabee wrote: ↑Fri May 13, 2022 7:51 pmHappy to join the choir of enablers here. You need a Mare’s Leg in .22 trust me it is the most fun gun I own.

Re: Im hooked
I agree,
I have had some problems fitting the Henry rifles that I like to my size LOP. But recently after only seeing a 357/38 BBC and fitting the LOP and loving the accuracy and just the way the rifle looks and feel I decided to buy a second one in 22lr. I found a Evil Roy that has the plastic butt pad. I ordered a new butt plate and adjust the LOP on that one also. Very, very happy with both rifles and Henry.
