Chipping Finish

Post by krunchnik » Fri Aug 11, 2023 4:26 pm

So when I cleaned my Homesteader on 8/10/23 I noticed the clear coat chipping and peeling near the pistol grip base-
Short story I filled out a warranty form but Henry wanted me to send the rifle in to them-didn't like that idea-
I called their warranty line and talked to Stacy-she is having them just send me a new stock-better idea-
If nothing else Henry has a very good warranty department-this idea I like-

Congrats on the great customer service!

About a year ago I ordered a HO15 in .223 on GunBroker. It came with a cracked stock. It could have been due to the stock bolt being overtightened or it could have been FedEx or maybe a combination of both. In any case the nice lady at Henry sent me a new stock also. :D It probably wasn't any of their fault. At first glance the box looked to be in good shape but a closer look showed the hammer was about to poke out of top of box. :x

The stock showed no sign of being loose so I rubbed some Old English in the cracks and shot it that way. It is very accurate and the cracks are hard to see now. I've "rewarded" Henry by purchasing several more of their guns since then. :D

Well Henry delivered on their warranty promise and indeed did send a new stock-that isn't chipping-
