I also would like one in .45 ACP because my 9mm really performs well but....Do you think they could do it with the blowback action?

HI-Points are ALL blow back actions.........Make the bolt heavy enough and it could be chambered for 50 BMG

Sell a bunch of 45 acp or 10 mm ? I wonder how many of us would buy one of each when there are multiple makers of those including the Hi Point 45 that has a street price of about $200.It goes bang when the trigger is pulled and hits what it's aimed at. I think that H.R.A. would be better off to consider a large frame revolver for the .45 ACP using the moon clips and it would also shoot .45 auto rim cartridges. I had a 1917 Colt and I made some super shot shells for it using 30-06 cases cut to cylinder length. Eat your heart out Taurus Judge.

I'd be in for both, if they perform as reliably as my 9mm has been with a suppressor. HenryUSA..are you reading this forum! This could be the .45acp PCC that everyone is looking for!

The Ruger LC 45 uses a blowback action. It also gives an idea how heavy that's going to be, by comparing it with the Ruger LC in 5.7, which generally uses the bolt weight in the same ballpark as a 9mm.
Weaponsguild forum has a sticky about the mass of the blowback bolt for various calibers, and the numbers required for safe operation are significantly lower than we came to expect by looking at the existing guns (e.g. Thompson, M3, etc.). That is what allowed Oly's AR45 to work. The question is the longevity and comfort.
Henry is well positioned to up the mass of the moving parts, because the blowback mass of the Homesteader is in the handguard. It's not like Ruger PC, where it's all behind the breech and they already use a tungsten weight.
Who knows, maybe the plan to make a .45/10 explains why the charging handle slot on the Homesteader is unnecessarily long by about 8mm.
The profitability of the Homesteader family will determine if Henry will be inclined to offer additional chamberings. My tracking of serial numbers show that they broke through 15,000 produced. So it's a bit of a modest success (for comparison, by the 2023 Ruger made about 180,000 PC platform guns - Carbines and Chargers). But I cannot know what the production costs for Henry are.
