Here's a sample of Brayant's. This is a beef sandwich, fries and a large Dr. Pepper.
Re: KC Gathering 2020!
Hope to see you there.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Hope so cofisher. I think we met before on a different forum. Maybe the SKS files? NFOA?
Re: KC Gathering 2020!
You have to make the trip, Bernie! It'll be like old home week, all crammed into three days!

Re: KC Gathering 2020!
Greetings, all! Have continued to check on the Mo Dept of Conservation (MDC) website, and it says they're "working on" a re-opening plan, but if very non-specific.
Assuming they'll figure it out sooner rather than later, I thought I'd bump this thread and see what folks might be thinking about a gathering in August, as outlined above. This was all laid out pre-COVID, of course, and may be subject to change (details-wise), but you get the idea from the notes above.
Lay out your questions here, or PM me for details if interested.

Re: KC Gathering 2020!
anyone coming to the Gathering happen to need in 45-70 lead bullets ..
.. if so, let me know ASAP and I'll pack them along .... mostly 405 grain good quality bullets .... we have made the decision to only load jacketed bullets and would be happy to get the cast ones out of our way
Re: KC Gathering 2020!
Sounds like a great time. I am only about an hour away, count me in.

OUTSTANDING .... we had a ball last year .... looking forward to meeting you in person
Re: KC Gathering 2020!
Update for everyone: it appears that the MO Dept of Conservation has reopened the Lake City Range, so we're full steam ahead for the August gathering here in KC.
The dates kind of got buried in this thread, so, to reiterate, we'll be planning as follows:
Tues, 8/18 : Arrive KC, dinner
Wed, 8/19: Range Outing, more dinner
Thurs, 8/20: More range time, lunch, departures
Details to be finalized as we get closer and have a better idea of head-count, preferences, etc.
The more, the merrier, as they say, so, if you're wondering how to cure your Cabin Fever, think about a trip to KC!

Re: KC Gathering 2020!
Not surprisingly, it's been crickets on this opportunity, but even the simplest trip needs to be carefully considered.
I've sent a PM to COFISHER, but no response. Anybody heard from him lately?
Even our other local comrade, PT7, has pretty much begged off, having moved to Black Powder and other "short guns."
BigAl has a full plate as well.
So, Jim, it might just be you and me, but here is everyone's chance to be counted in and included in the proceedings. We handle details via PMs/emails, so if you're inclined to participate, please send me a PM here as soon as possible (you, too, Cofisher!).

Re: KC Gathering 2020!
Hey Evan, I did reply. It must have gotten lost in the mail. Sorry about that. I am only getting one trip this year and it will be to Colorado. The river is calling. Wish I could be there with y’all, but...

Re: KC Gathering 2020!
sorry to hear you can't be with us again this year .... I'll do my best to help take care of your part of the BBQ
Re: KC Gathering 2020!
If I lived in Nebraska, and I had the choice to go only one place - Colorado or Kansas City - I'd take Colorado, too, Jim, but sorry to miss you this year!
As we say about most things these days, 2021 will be a better year!
