Never heard of or ever seen any, or a firearm chamber in it.
So where is it size compared to the others? Smaller than 28?
Who makes a said firearm?

Vaquaro, Don't you mean 28 Ga.? CARTRIDGES OF THE WORLD shows a 32 Ga and a 28 but no 38 Ga.

Think the 32 was a specialty gun for quail hunting.

The 686 is a fine revolver. It's the stainless brother to the 586 I just picked up. I believe you will love it once it yours. For me, I'm a traditionalist and believe revolver should be 6 shot not 7. But if you're good with a 7 shot - go for it.

As far as purchase goes that the one gun per month VA requirement did not apply if you have a VA concealed carry permit. You might want to check that out.

Thanks Paul! I checked the law and that is correct. Going to the shop tomorrow.

Yeah, Forty, I was going to tell you the same thing about the CCW. But then I moved to Oklahoma when the previous Gov was elected with his plans for "EIGHT new gun safety laws the day I take office" so I thought he had taken away that "Loophole." Glad it's still in effect. I went once to buy a matched pair of 45s, and the small gun shop insisted I couldn't. They didn't understand that exemption. They ended up selling them separately. What a waste.

7 shots and a 3” barrel. I like that combination, nice find.

Picked it up this morning and will be going to the range tomorrow! Build quality really nice on this one with a .004 cylinder/ barrel gap and no end shake you can feel. Being an L frame I was hoping the DA trigger pull would be like my Model 69 but it is just a bit more.
My 69 had to go back twice to S&W to get couple things corrected and I think they may have done a little action work on it too.
It has the lightest and smoothest SA and DA pull of any revolver I own....SWEET!
