Cost of .44 Mag ammo....
Wow after looking at several online sources I see 60+ bucks for a box of 50 for typical FMJ like American Eagle brand among others!

At least they are available. I’m seeing most ammo shelves full.

Re: Cost of .44 Mag ammo....
Factory 44 mag has always been expensive to shoot just for target work, so, yeah, it's getting up there at $60. Stopped in our local shop and I saw 45 Colt Cowboy ammo also going for $60, though.Whew! How can anyone complete in Cowboy Action at those prices?

No 45 Colt or 44 Mag/Special ammo to be seen at our LGS. Very glad I load that stuff!

I ran across this interesting sale on Gun Broker
.
This ammo is long discontinued, they no longer offer the heavy 115 gr Gold Dot load (only the 100 gr one). I bought four boxes of NOS 115 gr a couple of years back for $110 maybe it is time to sell them…. if anyone here wants them let me know.

Except for some defense 45 colt. None here either.
The stuff I'd bought a long while back, I paid about $35 for a box of 50 (Cowboy Choice). See about the same price currently advertised.
I had also bought a long while back Federal American for about $36 for box of 50. Now it's $74.

Not only the ammo but production of the 115GDHP was discontinued as well, think they would be a great smaller medium game bullet in the 327 but after a few years of looking havent found anything here in Aus.John E Davies wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 9:37 pmI ran across this interesting sale on Gun Broker
