Ammo Storage

Post by Sir Henry » Sat May 28, 2022 7:06 am

A neighbor is tearing dow a dilapidated tar paper shack and this was inside it. They didn’t want it so I got it for free. It’s got ton of grease and oil spills on it however it’s very sturdy and can easily hold a lot of heavy ammo on each shelf. I’m going to try to clean it up and paint it.

I think it would hold a lot of different kinds of ammo and make the selection very easy. Having ammo in cans is convenient however I can’t see what I have.

Nice, and the price was right.

Should work well, and I like the price.

It’ll be nice to go “shopping for ammo” on your own display. Looks like what we would see in a store. Good find.

I like this shelf and it would be the perfect shelf for my ammo needs however after cleaning it up I’m not pleased with the condition. It would be great for the garage however not in the house. I’m going to paint it and then think about it.

Good find Gene!
You know how heavy ammo is though, so you might consider adding a vertical support board right down the middle of the front to help prevent the shelves from bowing. A simple 1x2 should do it.
Nice way to organize the ammo!

The thing I like about this shelf is it’s built like a tank. It had cans of paint stored on it. On second consideration I think it’s to beat up for the house.
