Opinions on Precision One .357 and Fiocchi .357 FMJ?

Post by Retlawman » Thu May 26, 2022 12:18 pm

Hi,

I live in NY. so my options are limited. I shot a box of PMC Bronze .357 158gr. JSP a couple of days ago and I liked it. I can't find anymore that will ship to my address, so I am looking at two other choices. This is for my new BB Side Loader Carbine. I did shoot .38 special Federal AE. It shot great, but was boring. I didn't feel like I was shooting a rife. I have a couple more boxes of those, but I'm going to leave for my 17 year old daughters to shoot. Please give me at least a touch of recoil. :D Anyway, I found the Precession in .357 158gr FMJ and the Fiocchi in 142 gr. Truncated FMJ. These would be solely for target/range. I know the PMC was hunting also, but I don't need that yet. I have read good things about both companies, but nothing about these rounds. Anybody?

Thanks everyone

Not familiar with "Precision" ammo, Fiocchi makes darn good shotgun ammo, so, I'd bet their handgun ammo is good. Get it while you can 'lawman.
And you're right about .38 spl in the rifle. A bit anemic, but, accurate.

Not sure what your rules are up there in the danger zone but try ammoseek if you can buy online. There is quite a bit of 357 ammo there for sale. If you have questions about the supplier you can always ask here.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
