Another ammo shortage?

Are we stuck with another ammo shortage? Appears so here. Hopefully not...
A friendly place to talk about Henry Repeating Arms.....and just about anything else

It's still the same limited supply and high demand situation it's been for the last 18 months. We'll continue to experience sporadic bare shelves/rationing depending on regional demand at any given moment. Not likely to change any time soon, and we all know why. Think of it as the new normalOzarkwoodswalker wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 4:18 amAre we stuck with another ammo shortage? Appears so here. Hopefully not...
Great article, I was thinking of starting in reloading, but with all the reports of little or no reloading materials in this forum sounds like it will be a while.GunnyGene wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 8:54 amHere's a recent story out of Minnesota:

Won't be seeing that Tula any longer, once what's here at the moment is gone.Shakey Jake wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 1:54 pmAmmo seems to be in fairly good supply here. Not all manufacturers but most all calibers can be had now without limitation. It may be Aguila, Tula, etc, and a few major brands but at least on hand.

It seems we have an ammo shortage the first two years of every presidential election since Obama.GunnyGene wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 7:04 amIt's still the same limited supply and high demand situation it's been for the last 18 months. Lot's of news stories about it lately, if you care to search the web for them - "ammunition shortage".
I don't have any hard data, but I suspect that periodic ammo shortages go back to at least George Washington.Sir Henry wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 3:43 pmIt seems we have an ammo shortage the first two years of every presidential election since Obama.GunnyGene wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 7:04 amIt's still the same limited supply and high demand situation it's been for the last 18 months. I bet there were shortages during WWII also. The year 2008 was the first one that I can remember. George was slightly before my time.GunnyGene wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 4:15 pmI don't have any hard data, but I suspect that periodic ammo shortages go back to at least George Washington.Sir Henry wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 3:43 pmIt seems we have an ammo shortage the first two years of every presidential election since Obama.GunnyGene wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 7:04 am
