Federal Ammo Sale
this morning I received an email from Natchez advertising a sale on Federal ammo ===> https://www.natchezss.com/email/2021/may-11.html .... having not purchased but rifle or handgun ammo for a very long time, I have no clue as to the prices being OK or way too high

Got the same email and the prices seem to be inline with what the local gougers are charging. At least for the .223. Like lumber we may never see the old prices again.

Re: Federal Ammo Sale
Well, it's a start anyway.
I bought some .22 standard's direct from CCI's web site 3-4 rays ago. I couldn't get to the $99 limit for free shipping but I bought some handgun ammo for a friend in need and split the shipping cost. It was $3.99/50, limit of 4. Again, better than a poke in the eye.

It can stay at Naches for that price. Too much for me.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Don't you usually have a sale when you have an abundance of product that needs to be moved? Nothing there for me and not at those prices.

Re: Federal Ammo Sale
wouldn't it be wonderful if they know production is catching up and soon reasonably priced supplies will soon be back on the shelves

Re: Federal Ammo Sale
I bought some slugs from them a couple of weeks ago (1 oz and 1 1/4 oz). The price did not seem bad ($.90 and $1.40 a round). But, the shipping was $16, which seems high. When averaged out, it was about $2 a round. I try and buy local. Yet, slugs seem to go quickly. I agree though, it is not the best deal in town. However, it was not crazy either. So, I took the deal. And, the brand was Federal.

Re: Federal Ammo Sale
I was looking for 22LR and received some advice from a poster on another forum not long ago about ammo availability on the CCI website. He said to check very early in the morning, Tuesday thru Fridays. About a month ago one morning at about 5:00 I got up because of the "call of nature" and logged onto their website and, lo and behold, 22LR in stock. I was able to order ten 50 round boxes of CCI standard velocity 40gr LRN for $3.99 each and six 50 round boxes of Velocitor 40gr CPHP for $9.99 each.
The order, with tax, was over $100 so got free shipping. At the time they estimated 15 to 21 days for order to ship and I received it via UPS in 13 days.
The day after I placed my order I went on ammoseek.com to check other retailers prices for CCI 22LR. Most were selling the standard velocity for $9.99 and the Velocitors were selling from $20 to $40 for 50 rounds.
