I'm looking for recommendations (positive and negatives) about brands of Snap Caps

I bought 3 calibers from A-Zoom. They are sized right and cycle fine. Have not used them much for firing so I can't say how long they will last. For 22s I just use the plastic yellow drywall anchors but you have to spin them to avoid pushing through the plastic with repeated firing.

A-Zoom and Carlson are two companies I'm looking at .... I'm interested in 38 and 44 specials

I've never purchased any snap caps so have no experience to draw on .... in looking at several websites, prices most certainly vary

A Zoom have been fine for me, but I only use them for function testing, not repeated dry firing practice. What is your intended usage? You can load dummy (empty) rounds of actual cartridges easily enough, drill out the primer holes so they are obviously unloaded! Add colored lacquer to the head if you want to ID them more easily. You can duplicate these a whole lot cheaper.... there is no need for anything in the holes IMHO.

I make a couple of dummies of each bullet when working up loads for my BBX, so I can check how they cycle and if the tips try to hang up on the feed ramp. It is safer that live ammo for sure. I store each pair in a tiny ziplock bag with the bullet info on it, or you could use a vibratory marker (etcher) on each case.

we have dummy rounds in each die box that we use to check our seating and crimp dies .... what I'm looking for is snap caps to use in dry firing

Is this for rifle or revolver? I have never used them. What about spent cartridge with the primer?

I have Azoom for my guns. Different calibers. They seem to hold up well. They fit and function the same as live Ammo. for me..

recommendations appreciated .... I plan to order some from Azoom
