Trip to my LGS today.....

When I looked at the shelf area where you would normally find primers and powder I saw they had moved exploding targets there and they had plenty of those. That is saying something bad! Went around the corner where the ammo area is and mostly bare shelves where you would find pistol ammo.
Funny that they had exploding targets and shooting clays stacked in the middle isle too. Guess you throw rocks at those!
I had stopped by there to pick up a box of Co2 cartridges which they had plenty of.

Was at Academy on Sat. all they had on the shelves were 28 ga., so being the smart mouth that I can be sometimes.
I had to ask, do y'all even have a 28 ga. back there in the rack? Nope.
But I did find out that they do have certain ammo in the back out of sight.
Saving for when customers purchase a firearm, as did I.
Yep clay pigeons galore, so I guess most folks would like forty said throw rocks.
I did stop by the WW on that side of town for some beer.
And walked through the sporting goods section, and they had a few 12 ga shells.

Interesting on the CO2 cartridges. Our local al-mart and LGS don't have any pellets on the shelves, but they do have plenty of CO2 cartridges.

May be time to stock up on those, I haven't gotten in co2 air rifles.
I did see one the other day that was a little interesting, but I left if.
I'll stick with the 22's out here in the country, no shooting restrictions, and....
ah I have a pretty big stock pile.
Still.

Probably wouldnt have any airguns either if I was out in the country. I do have a stock pile of 22 ammo and when it comes back I will be adding to it.

I will to Al, add a few more at a later date when it more readily available.
I did add a few thousand back in the Spring and Summer when I would see them, 500 here and there.
I did pick up one of those Wranglers Sat. and they had a box of 500 Winchesters for $27.99,
so I grabbed it also.

I said that back in 2008, 2012, 2016 and again in 2020. By the time 2020 hit I said I’ve had enough ammo buying. I doubt I will ever have to buy another round of ammo

Went to breakfast with friends of over 50 years in Philadelphia. We try this once a month, afterwards I shop at gun store for reloading supplies. Picked up a one pound four pack (4 4ounce bottles) of Hodgdon rifle powders trial pack. It looked old,box was faded, price tag was unreadable. Charged me $20 for that assorted rifle powder and $39.95 for a 3 die set of Lee 9 mm reloading dies.

Good price on the 20 ga stuff, those would be $22.95 @ either of the 2 closest WW's here.

Picked up two small boxes of Browning .22 WMR at a local gun range in Reno. The place was packed, the firing range, people waiting in line for the range, people looking at firearms and accessories and a line at the cashier to make their purchases. Of course it was Saturday and a relatively day other then being a little cold and windy. I just wish it would warm up a little and the wind die down so I could go out shooting in the desert.

I think Walmart does receive it share of ammo. But, employees either are very slow at putting it out or save it for family and friends. I recall telling one employee this. A few days later, ammo was on the shelf. He said that it was in back, and no one put it out. This was during the last ammo slow down. So, I have not bothered to ask this time. I learned my lesson from the last slow down, keep plenty on hand.
