Not in Illinois, local stores are out of 22's , on line sales not much better. I will not pay 25 bucks for 50 rounds!
Yep - central Illinois has NOTHING. Certainly no 30-30!
I just bought my 009X Friday - though the ATF folks don’t want to approve it!!!! Grrrrr.
Doesn’t matter when I can eventually pick up my rifle - there is nothing to feed it:(

Boy - those folks at ATF are a real piece of work!!!!

geezerjohn - with no gun, and no ammo:(
Most calibers are available in my part of MS, albeit usually rationed by dealers and prices are nearly double what they were a year or 2 back. Most everyone around here shoots something (lots of wild game) and carry's a sidearm, so are generally well stocked anyway. Once in a while somebody will complain about the prices, but that's about it.

The ammo situation really hurts the new shooters who are trying to get a carry permit (many states require live fire training), or take an advanced class. This often requires 200-500 rounds of ammo or more, in addition to the cost of the gun, holster, range fees, State permit fees, etc. ,etc. At today's ammo prices it puts training out of reach for a lot of folks, even if they can find that much ammo to expend in a day or 2. It's an untenable situation for everyone.

I picked up a box of Remington.357/125 yesterday at our Academy. Some days shelves are just loaded(two racks) and some delivery day just a partial rack. I’ve seen5.7 rounds, lots of Big Green, both shotgun and rifle/pistol. Only 2 boxes per person per day makes it pretty fair. Sometime at the end of the morning rush there are plenty of 9mm boxes left.

Pretty much what is reported elsewhere. A tray of 100 CCI Subsonics was $11.00. My box of 50 .357 JSP was $40.00. ITS FUNNY, the 2 box limit is literally that. 2 twenty round boxes of .357 or 2 500 round boxes of .223/5.56. A box is a box.

Thanks Achigan,
I would probably pick some up at those prices. That's cheaper than I've seen online.
Unfortunatey, the shelves are empty around here.

Getting better here in my area. Penned a bit about it in the breakfast/weather thread. Pricing is still above pre-pandemic levels.

from there went to our largest FFL dealer .... even more skeet .... a small selection rifle/handgun ammo .... no shotgun shells .... they did have a large display of rifles and shotguns .... their handgun display had bunches of semi autos but almost no revolves

Saw some thurdy thurdy ammo at my local Walmart the other day. They had about 10 boxes of it when I was there.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
